Privacy Policy for Avoidable (ELUDE)

Last updated: July 15, 2026

This privacy policy describes how Avoidable ("the app," "we," "us") handles information when you play.

Information We Collect

Player name. When you first play, you're asked to choose a display name (up to 16 characters). This is a nickname you pick yourself — we don't require or collect your real name, email, or any account information.

Game scores. When you finish a run in BLINK, SWARM, or CHAOS mode, your chosen name, your score, and the game mode are sent to our database (hosted on Supabase) to power the public online leaderboards. Anyone using the app can see these leaderboard entries.

Locally stored data. Your settings (music/SFX volume, control preferences, sensitivity), best scores, and puzzle progress are stored only on your device, in the app's local storage. This information is never transmitted anywhere.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect:

The app does not display ads and does not require account creation or login.

How Information Is Used

Leaderboard data (name, score, mode) is used solely to display public leaderboards inside the app. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose beyond that.

Data Storage and Retention

Leaderboard entries are stored in a Supabase-hosted database and kept indefinitely so leaderboards remain populated. Locally stored settings and progress remain on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.

Your Choices

Children's Privacy

Avoidable is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only information collected — a self-chosen nickname and a score — is not sufficient to identify a specific individual.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same URL with an updated "Last updated" date.
